As a golf course designer with 30 years of experience in the industry, We have provided professional services for the design and construction of golf courses around the world. Our experience in the golf course design industry has allowed us to develop expertise in the areas of design, engineering, construction management and landscape visioning, while gaining a vast knowledge in agronomy and golf course maintenance.
We can provide CADD drawings and digital flyovers for Client that wish to include these Design Services. Additionally, we can provide Drone Flyovers during construction to accurately document the process.

Ken's design expertise has evolved over the years, working with PGA Tour players and architects, Jack Nicklaus, Jerry Pate, and David Toms. These premier designers have given him invaluable experience and contrasting exposure to many styles. Working with professional golfers has given him an understanding of the game as viewed thru the eyes of a professional tour player. Ken has produced top quality designs which characterize the way in which he approaches every project. The key to a quality course design is constant on-site supervision and planning.
Ken has a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and has extensive experience in landscape visioning, land planning, and golf course architecture.
Prior to forming Morgan Golf Design, Ken served as Senior Design Associate for Jerry Pate Golf Design, Senior Design Associate for Dico Golf, and Design Coordinator and Production Staff for Jack Nicklaus Golf Services. His project experience has focused primarily on planning, design, and construction supervision of golf course design projects.

Mike Russo, Irrigation Designer
Mike Russo is the principal irrigation consultant for Morgan Golf Design and is also a principal of Coast 2 Coast Irrigation and Design Group, Inc. For the past twenty years he has been involved in all facets of the irrigation industry, including, service, troubleshooting, design, and consultation.
Experiencing irrigation from the drafting table to the trench, Mr. Russo is able to better understand the complexities and science of irrigation design and consulting. By using his field knowledge of proper installation procedures, he designs with efficiency, quality, and longevity in mind. This knowledge has been instilled into approximately 1200 projects that he has designed or has been directly associated with in his career.
His designs include a broad range of projects including golf courses, hotel & Resort developments, residential communities, corporate office parks, athletic fields and recreational facilities. Mr. Russo’s goal through innovative design is to create an environment which incorporates the conscientious use of water by virtue of conservation technology, alternative water sources and responsible water management.

The design process begins with a study of the site feasibility using aerial photos, topographic surveys, and investigation of the site. We will prepare preliminary routing concepts and land use studies of the proposed areas for the golf course, to assure that the existing conditions of the site have been taken into account. The design process begins with a study of the site feasibility using aerial photos, topographic surveys, and investigation of the site. We will prepare preliminary routing concepts and land use studies of the proposed areas for the golf course, to assure that the existing conditions of the site have been taken into account. We can provide Land Use Planning services during this phase of the project or we can work in conjunction with the owner's land use planner, and consultants. We will develop a site plan that is acceptable to the owner, and that will maximize the owner's development, while providing for quality golf.
The final routing plans will be prepared, that accurately indicate the location of the golf course including; the length, centerline, and par of each hole. The project surveyors will then stake the routing. We will then walk the centerline of each hole to make fine adjustments to the plan. We then develop a strategy for each hole - sketching in green shapes/sizes, bunker locations, mounds, grassy hollows, swales, lakes, etc. - that accurately defines the strategic concept for the golf course. We also develop a concept, which utilizes the unique shapes, forms, features, and materials of the site, to consolidate the golf course into the overall development.

From the routing, we prepare all plans, specifications and drawings, which are necessary to construct the golf course. The plan documents include the routing and strategy plan; proposed grading plan; drainage plan; greens plans; grassing plan; and conceptual plans for bridging, abutments, and other such items, at the appropriate scales.

Included also, will be specifications as may be necessary to construct the golf course and additional specifications for greens soil mix as recommended by the United States Golf Association.
We will consult with the Owner prior to and during the actual construction. During this consultation we shall make recommendations to the owner regarding suitable contractors, the pre-bid and post-bid process, and the letting of contracts for construction.

During construction, supervisory services will be performed to monitor the contractor’s adherence to the plans and specifications as provided by Morgan Golf Design. After each on-site inspection, we will provide the owner with a written progress report outlining any changes, which we deem appropriate within the planned budget. We will al

After each on-site inspection, we will provide the owner with a written progress report outlining any changes, which we deem appropriate within the planned budget. We will also review cash disbursement requests by the contractor, and advise the owner as to whether or not they meet the payment schedule determined by the owner. During construction, we will recommend for rejection or disapproval any construction which fails to meet the requirements of the construction drawings or specifications, the goals of the owner, or our standards.
If the Owner wishes to complete construction as a Design/ Build project, we can provide these services in conjunction with qualified Golf Course Contractors, or can provide Construction Management services to complete the project.
